Die Musik der Westcoast-Harmonie geladenen, gitarrenlastigen Band klingt wie aus dem Laurel Canyon in den Jahre 1968 bis 1973. Die Musik ist irgendwo in der Mitte zwischen Duane Allman’s Telecaster twang, den luftigen Harmonien der Grateful Dead und dem Folk-Rock von Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Live grooved die Mischung deutlich dynamischer als auf dem Album, so dass auch Jamband Fans auf Ihre Kosten kommen.

Die Americana Band hat bereits Kultstatus in Ihrer Heimatstadt Nashville und unter Musikerkollegen in ganz Amerika. Im Laufe des Sommer 2018 wird ihr hervorragendes neues Album, das von Kenneth Pattengale (Milk Carton Kids) produziert wurde, veröffentlicht.

Jetzt ist die einmalige Chance, Cordovas in einem intimen Rahmen bei ihrem ersten Konzert in Berlin zu sehen. Bandleader Joe Firstman und seine Jungs haben das europäische Publikum bereits bei Ihren Touren in Skandinavien und den Niederlanden (u.a. beim „TakeRoot“ Festival) begeistert. Henric Hungerhoff (Deutschland), Tomás Peralta (Chile), and Joe Jakubczyk (USA) vereint Ihre Leidenschaft für akustische Musik und Storytelling. Ihr von Banjo, Gitarre, Kontrabass und mehrstimmigen Gesangsharmonien geprägter Sound hat sie seit ihrer Gründung 2014 bereits zu 150 Konzerte von den Schottischen Highlands bis nach Sizilien und zum Rolling Stone Weekender geführt.

SUSTO has been given many labels—Americana, alt-country, southern folk, indie rock, even gospel—and though none of these descriptions are inaccurate, they only provide part of the picture. Bandleader and songsmith Justin Osborne’s lyrics bring the full picture into view. He weaves catchy hooks into honest storytelling, utilizing gothic imagery, wry humor, and social commentary to convey his confessional tales. His gravelly, pitch-perfect voice is the ideal vehicle to bring these heartfelt expressions to the listener and the sincerity he exudes while performing is palpable. Pair that with perfectly nuanced folk-rock instrumentation, and SUSTO remains in a genre all its own.

St. Beaufort is a group on a journey. The Berlin-based folk and americana band from Germany, Chile, and the USA has been travelling around Europe since 2014, sharing old stories and tall tales. Based on banjo, guitar, and double-bass, accented by violin, accordion or mandolin, the music is driven by tight vocal harmonies, and forges a bridge between traditional storytelling and contemporary songwriting.
