Always a liar, Aiden Berglund’s musical origins began with a false claim of knowing how to play the drums. Weaseling his way into different bands proved successful, and, while still a Brooklyn teenager, Berglund wrote, recorded, and performed at iconic and underground venues all across New York City – landing a deal with a Japanese Record Label and finding airtime on international radio stations.
Aiden’s current solo show has been described as a one man indie rock band, where influence can be found in great melancholic songwriters of the 20th century such as Harry Nilsson, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Elliott Smith. In 2019, Aiden won Best Original Song for a Film at the LA Indie Film Fest – the same year he won the Sidney Peterson Prize in experimental media. Be sure to check out Aiden’s animations – which are composed in tandem with the songs they illustrate. Aiden is currently working on his third full length record while living in Berlin. More information about album releases, animations, and other lies can be found at aidenberglund.com.
